— THERAPIST —

My Professional Background

I'm a licensed social worker helping adults navigate life’s transitions and challenges. I provide a trauma-informed, supportive space for those struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and communication.

My experience includes working with individuals recovering from substance abuse, those with complex mental health needs, and formerly incarcerated individuals. I also support clients exploring their sexual orientation and gender identity.

With a background in advertising and entrepreneurship, I understand career pressures and transitions. I strive to create a thoughtful, compassionate space where clients can explore their inner world with clarity and support.

My Approach to Treatment

My therapeutic style is grounded, empathetic, and collaborative. I aim to create a supportive space for clients to deepen their self-awareness and explore their inner worlds. By integrating methods such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Polyvagal Theory, and somatic parts work, I tailor therapy to reconnect clients with their bodies, emotions, and thoughts in the present moment. I often incorporate breathing exercises to support centering and body awareness, helping clients develop self-regulation skills, heal, and grow.

Education and Qualifications

I earned an MSW from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in NYC and a BA in Journalism from Baruch College in NYC. I earned both a Trauma Treatment Certification from Dr. Janina Fisher and an Intensive Trauma Treatment Certification from Dr. Arielle Schwartz.

I completed trainings in Integrative Somatic Parts Work Levels 1 & 2, EMDR & Parts Work for Complex Trauma, and EMDR Basic Training. I am licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland and DC providing both in-person and telehealth therapy.

A Bit More About Me

I was born in Australia, grew up in New York City, and spent several years living and working in California. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, meditation, cooking, baking, gardening, and exploring new destinations. I look forward to connecting with you.
